Taking Up Space in Metropolitan Hurly-Burly

In a world increasingly saturated with hedonist influencers and questionable thought-leaders, it's vital for those holding traditional values to actively participate in the public square. While prayer and fasting remain essential for spiritual renewal and reparation, change also requires visible action. Following the call of Catholic author and podcaster Taylor Marshall, we are urged to "take up space" and boldly share our message with the wider community.

With this in mind, an exciting initiative is underway this June to broadcast a powerful message to a large audience in a strategic location. A billboard, featuring a compelling image (as shown, above), will be prominently displayed at the bustling intersection of Ventura and Cahuenga Boulevards, near Universal Studios Hollywood. This high-traffic area is estimated to receive a staggering 1.4 million views per week, offering an unparalleled opportunity to reach a diverse and significant portion of the public.

This initiative represents a concrete step in actively engaging with the broader community and making our voices heard. By "taking up space" in this way, we aim to spark conversation, promote reflection, and ultimately, contribute to a more informed and thoughtful public discourse.

Making this vision a reality requires collective effort. We are humbly asking for your support in funding this important billboard campaign. No amount is too small to contribute! Every dollar helps us amplify our message and ensure maximum impact. Your generosity will directly contribute to amplifying our message and reaching a vast audience this June.

Thank you for your consideration and your unwavering dedication to making a difference.

I find it a "God-wink" that the billboard location shown is atop a secular enterprise typical of today's culture... ;)

A black and white image depicting a group of people walking towards a small building with a cross on it. The building seems to be a church, and several vehicles, including a van and a pickup truck, are parked nearby. The scene is set in a rural area with a cloudy sky overhead.

The Sacred Heart billboard is a useful vehicle. The effort brought us together in a meaningful way, and has strengthened our public witness.

A bright yellow church with twin towers is perched on a hill, surrounded by lush green trees. In the foreground, there is an open grassy area with a few people walking and some signs posted along a pathway.
